About the client
K92 Mining owns and operates the Kainantu Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine located in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea.
The problem
K92 is undergoing a major expansion and needed a full suite of training materials for its growing underground workforce. Training materials were required to cover inductions, health and safety topics and all operator training.
The solution
Edge Learning was engaged to develop a variety of materials including eLearning, manuals, assessments and classroom presentations. The materials were aligned to RII standards and specifically designed to suit the literacy levels at the K92 operation, using high levels of visual graphics.

The outcome
The materials are now in use at K92 as the mine rapidly expands, and more materials are under development.
