Professional eLearning for mining inductions and compliance training
Professional eLearning courses are the right fit for site inductions, corporate inductions, compliance refreshers and policy training – any course where the content matters more than animation. They are clean, branded, interactive and fast to build.
What’s included
Instructional design by our team, professionally designed templates in your brand, high quality stock or site photographs, professional voiceover, interactions on every screen, and assessments or knowledge checks where you need them. Courses are supplied as SCORM files, editable source files and Word storyboards, so you own everything.
Where it works best
A new employee’s first contact with your company is often the induction. A well-built online induction gets people through the essentials before they arrive on site, frees your trainers for hands-on work, and gives every contractor the same message every time. Our article on what a site induction actually costs you sets out the numbers.
Typical projects
Site inductions for Genesis Minerals and IGO, corporate inductions, HSE and critical control refreshers, and updates to courses originally built by other providers.
Indicative pricing starts from $5,000 for an Essential course. See the price guide, or view a demo.
Professional eLearning: frequently asked questions
What is a professional eLearning course?
A professional eLearning course is an interactive online course built with professionally designed templates in your brand, instructional design by our team, high quality photographs, a professional voiceover and assessments where needed. It suits site inductions, corporate inductions, compliance refreshers and policy training. Courses are supplied as SCORM files, editable source files and Word storyboards.
How much does a custom eLearning course cost?
Indicative pricing for custom eLearning starts from $5,000 for an Essential course of up to 10 minutes, with Standard courses in the $10,000 to $30,000 range and Premium courses above that. Animation complexity is the biggest driver of price. See the Edge Learning price guide for what is included at each tier.
Will the course work on our LMS?
Yes. Every course is delivered as a SCORM-compliant file, either sent direct to your LMS or packaged ready for you to upload. If you do not have an LMS, Edge Learning can set one up for you through the Set Up Package.
How many review rounds are included?
Unlimited. Edge Learning offers unlimited review rounds at no extra cost, so you can revise the storyboard and the built course until you are completely happy.
Can Edge Learning update a course built by another provider?
Yes. Edge Learning regularly updates and modernises courses originally built by other providers. Updates require the original source files rather than only the SCORM file.
Where is Edge Learning based and who do you work with?
Edge Learning Services is based in West Perth, Western Australia, and has built eLearning for mining and resources companies across Australia and Papua New Guinea since 2012, including Hancock Iron Ore, IGO, Roy Hill, Vault Minerals, Genesis Minerals, Allkem and the Porgera Joint Venture.
