ABOUT EDGE LEARNING
Edge Learning Services was formed in 2012 to provide quality, engaging training solutions to the resources industry. We believe that the best learning occurs when it is close to the worker, the workplace and the work. We aim to provide materials that integrate the learning experience with the working experience and produce measurable results with the aim of contributing to safety, production and employee satisfaction. We pride ourselves on our credibility and our responsiveness and aim to exceed our client’s expectations on every project that we deliver.
OUR PEOPLE
Sally Bowes - Managing Director
Sally is a long time Fremantle Dockers supporter, and therefore an eternal optimist. She can find a positive in nearly every situation. After 10 straight losses last year, Sally said “They have found a new level of consistency”. Sally has over 20 years of experience in the learning and development field across five continents, including global management roles. Sally’s background is in mining engineering and she also holds a Diploma in workplace training and assessing, is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance, holds a graduate certificate in executive coaching and accreditation in Insights, DiSC and Franklin Covey.
Tim Bowes - Director
Tim is also known as Inspector Gadget. The highlight of his year so far has been turning on his new garden reticulation system from a hotel in PNG using his watch. Sad, but true. Tim has worked in supervision and training roles for over 20 years in addition to 10 years spent as an underground mining operator. He holds a WA Underground Shift Supervisor qualification, a Certificate IV in training and assessing and a Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
Wendy Chambers - Project Coordinator
Wendy is a total netball tragic who spent a busy work perk period last year at the Netball World Cup in Sydney. We are sure that we spotted her in the audience with her laptop. Wendy has over 15 years experience in management and coordination roles including 4 years in the education sector. Wendy’s many skills include project management, quality assurance, coordination and scheduling. Oh, and trying to keep us all in line, with varying degrees of success.
Buffy Davies - Content Expert
Buffy has over 15 years experience in the mining industry including 12 years in underground mining. Buffy is a qualified mining engineer with a WA First Class Mine Manager’s ticket.
Ebru Cotton - Content Expert
Ebru has over 15 years experience in underground, surface and processing including quality control and technical writing roles in all areas. Ebru’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining and Mineral Processing), Master of Business Administration, Diploma in Business (Quality Auditing), NATA Accredited Lead Auditor and a Certificate IV (Workplace Training and Assessing)
Rebecca Winder - Content Expert
Rebecca has over 12 years experience in underground and surface mining, including three as a workplace trainer and assessor. Rebecca holds a certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessing and brings a wealth of experience to her work.
