Blended learning, when done right, is one of the most effective forms of learning. But what is it?
Blended learning is simply a combination of more than one form of learning delivery for the same topic. Forms of learning delivery include face to face instruction, paper based such as manuals, elearning, web conferencing, virtual and augmented reality, workshops, in the field instruction and many others.
Great blended learning uses different forms of delivery to reinforce the core messages. A common example of blended elearning is using elearning to deliver the theoretical components of a course, followed by a workshop with activities where participants can apply the knowledge from the elearning to activities.
So, there is nothing complicated about blended learning and it is an excellent too to consider when you next need to develop a great training course.
