Terms and Conditions

This page specifies the terms and conditions and process of elearning development projects between Edge Learning and its regular clients where no other contract exists.  It protects the rights of both parties involved in the project.

  1. A storyboard will be supplied by the Client.  A storyboard may be a powerpoint or similar presentation with presenters notes, a developed storyboard using the clients storyboard template or a developed storyboard using the Edge template that can be accessed here.
  2. If a storyboard is not available, Edge Learning will develop a storyboard from the available resources.  This work will be charged at an hourly rate.
  3. An Authority to Quote will be issued to the client for sign off.
  4. Edge Learning will issue a quote for the elearning course development based on the approved storyboard.
  5. Unless otherwise agreed, projects will be charged at 50% on commencement and 50% on completion.
  6. Once the Purchase Order or Service Order has been received from the client, Edge Learning will issue a commencement invoice and begin development.
  7. Edge Learning will develop a draft version of the course with AI voiceover placeholder.  Edge Learning will issue a copy of the course for review to the client using the Articulate 360 or equivalent platform.
  8. The client will conduct a review of the draft version. The review may involve as many stakeholders as necessary, as determined by the client.  
  9. Updates will be performed and any additions or changes that are outside the scope of the original storyboard will be charged.
  10. Once all changes have been made, Edge Learning will send the updated course to the client for the second review to determine all changes have been made correctly.  Once the second review is complete and all corrections have been made, the client will sign off the Authority to Proceed form.  Any additions or changes that are outside the scope of the original storyboard will be charged.
  11. Once the Authority to Proceed form is received by Edge Learning, the final voiceover will be recorded and the final course will be sent to the client for approval.
  12. The client will perform a final review of the course.  Once the voiceover is confirmed as correct, the client will sign off on the Authority to Complete form.
  13. If necessary, an invoice will be issued for any out of scope changes.
  14. Once Edge Learning has received the Purchase Order or Service Order for any out of scope changes (if applicable) and the signed Authority to Complete form, Edge Learning will transfer the files to the client.
  15. Unless otherwise agreed, the following files will be issued for all completed projects:
    • The source file (Storyline, Captivate, etc.)
    • The SCORM file
    • A storyboard (word document)
